Level or heaped?
The chart is for level spoons. A heaped tablespoon of flour can weigh twice as much. Use a measuring spoon, not a dinner spoon – cutlery sizes vary a lot.
US, UK and Australian tablespoons
A US tablespoon is 14.8 ml and a UK or European one 15 ml – practically the same. An Australian tablespoon is 20 ml, so Australian recipes need a third more per spoon.
